    The second one, really its just p-ownage, as in something has been owned.

    I've heard lots of people say it should be pronounced "ownage," since that's the word it's a typo of, or "pone-age," since that incorporates the P. However, I've heard people say "pawn-age," and even "pween-age." No idea where the last one comes from.

    I have never known how to pronounce pwn! I was talking about it yesturday and kept saying it like "pornage" :eek: so when I noticed I just spelled it! :D

    From now on I will make sure I say "pawnage" though.

    On good authority, I have told it should be pronounced "mrblsnrk."

    it always looks like its missing a letter or two if you ask me

    I'm kind of surprised that Warcraft (the original) is never mentioned in that wiki. I thought it was generally accepted that the term arose from a Warcraft map that was floating around in teh old3n dayz.

    without any research at all and just personal preference and a bit of thought: i wonder too. probably 'po-nidge' as i could never wrap my head around a silent p at the front or really the just of this word:

    post count: far from anything - damn takes time eh?
