As long as you initiate your return within 14 days I don’t see any issues with returning it. I don’t know if UK consumer law gives you more than 14 days but that is at least what Apple specifies. For more info on how to initiate a return:

In the UK, any purchase made in store doesn't have a statutory right to return (unless faulty), however many retailers (Apple included) have their own policy that does allow change of mind returns. Buying online is different however, and change of mind returns are allowed.

It’s worth being clear that if bought online you can only insect the goods so much as you could in store.

If opening boxes and fitting it etc isn’t possible in store. You cannot do this at home and return for “change of mind”.

You can with Apple. If a product’s quality or a case fitment isn’t right or even if you don’t like the colour, they’ll take it back.

That’s an apple thing though, not a consumer rights thing

thank you for your reply.

what if i wanted to exchange my silicone case for a magsafe clear case? would it be alright in that case?

As long as it’s in as new condition you shouldn’t have an issue. Just always be polite and just explain you don’t like the feel of the case and want to exchange it.

I’ve exchanged leather cases before without any issues just to change colour.
