iPhone How do you send group messages in iOS 6?

Ive had every model of the iphone since the 3g but just recently learned that its possible to send a group message to friends.

I dont mean sending a mass message to one group at once, but the type were if I send the group a message they all see who is in the group and if one person replies everyone else also sees it.

kind of like the Blackberry messenger groups.

I know its possible unless the new iphone 5 or iOS6 removed that option or changed it.

SIDE NOTE: i also remember being able to creat contact groups on older phones/OS' but now I can only check or uncheck the ones I had created along time ago (saved from old backups i guess).

If they all have iMessage, just add each contact to the "To" box.

ahhh got it thanks. is there a way to add people later or do i need to start a new group

Cannot add them later, but there are several free apps that allow much better group messaging than the stock app.
