I have two questions about setting default programs in OS X:

1. I want to make NeoOffice the default word processing program. e.g. any rtf, doc, txt, etc by default should open in NeoOffice writer. I cant find any options to do this. Anyone know how?

2. Same goes for movie files from the internet. By default they open in a new browser tab (in Firefox). How do I make wmv, avi, mov files open by default in VLC player?

Right-click on a file of the type you want to associate with a program and select Get Info from the contextual menu that appears. Expand the Open With section and select the program you want to have as the default from the drop down list. Then click the Change All... button to make your choice the default for that file type.

That's the way to do it, but no matter how many times I try for CSS files, OSX insists on opening them in DashCode even though I tell it to use TextMate.
