I used to keep it the standard, default way that it's set up when you first turn on your Mac computer. However, I just recently set it to "Automatically hide and show the Dock." Magnification is on to a certain extent. The size of the Dock itself is maximum.

I just wondered what other people's preferences are when it comes to the Dock.

Used to have it set on the left hand side, but it began to bug me.

Left, between small and medium, no magnification, no hide, minimize into icon, animate opening, Suck Effect (via Deeper), transparent icons for hidden apps, jump alert for background apps, icons locked.

I have mine quite small down the bottom with a tiny bit of magnification. I only keep the apps on there that i use all the time, like mail, iCal, iTunes, Word, Evernote, twitter, and chrome

I have a text dock, in the standard place, no magnification or reflection, and no background.

Didn't realize so many people were lefties ;)

I keep mine on the left, magnified, small.

I keep mine as minimized as possible, left side.

Only time I use the dock is if I'm lazy and using only one hand with the computer. Otherwise I totally use quicksilver, spaces, expose, and cmd+tab/~ to get between windows.

Haha, one of my friends does that, I can't get used to flying through the apps so fast.

Mine is small with half magnification, auto hide. 13" screen needs the auto hide, although I keep it that way with my 20" monitor too.

I guess I'm used to it. I really don't find it to be that small.
