Same here :)

Ditto. Leaving it plugged in sleeping over night isn't good for battery I think. 95% trickle charges to 100% over and over and that reduces battery life.

At end of day I power down and then remove the mag-plug. If I'm using it through out the day, I just close the lid. Once ever two weeks I run on battery power to run it down. Do the same with my cell phones and everything else with rechargeables and have great battery life.

I've done this on my Windows lap tops and I've got batteries that last like new that are 2 years old. Wife leaves her laptop plugged in all the time sleeping and her batteries last about 30 min.

Removing your battery to hibernate? That's insane!

Look for a dashboard widget called "Deep Sleep". One click and your macbook is hibernating. Or for the lazier ones among you, here is the link....

I was going to suggest the same widget. Works like a charm. You don't have to use it every time. You just set what kind of sleep mode you'd like to use when you put your MacBook to sleep. I've set mine to hibernate. Works like a charm. At night, though, I always shut mine down.
