How do you track Apple Pay Requests?

I've been trying to get switched over to Apple Pay with my roommates and friends so we can be done with Venmo, but the one thing we can't really figure out is how do you keep tabs on Apple Pay requests?

The main issue for us is we have rolling text convo's going on that will easily make Apple Pay requests fall through the cracks. Is there no kind of way of keeping track of them so you don't forget to pay someone?

Pull up the card in the wallet app and the blue circle with the 3 dots and go to transactions tab as shown
