how do you use theZip.app?

I could probobly zip a file using it, but I can't get it to unzip (it says that the file has been sucessfuly unziped, but there are no files from it to be found and the file stays .zip). if it is unziping, I don't know where the app is putting the files. can anyone help me?

never mind. found the problem. aparently, the program auto-dumps the zip contents into the root folder.
