As a male Series 8 user, wrist temperature data is pointless for me. I cannot interpret it since the watch doesn’t help with the data. How do you use the data aside of period tracking?

same here, looking at the data (the delta of baseline) since I got my Ultra, it's been steadily up/down within the 1.8F range that is described as normal, haven't had medical issues like infections and such that would result in body temp increase (fever) so, I don't know at this point what to do with the data.
I do look at the Health app summary page every day ...

@jz0309 where can you view your temperature data - I don’t see it in my Health app under show All Health Data?

Thanks @jz0309 - I don't have any data there - apparently you need to have Sleep tracking on for the wrist temperature to be recorded.

Didn‘t you answer your own question? You didn‘t have any illness, but if you had one coming, a wrist temperature increase can be an early warning sign. I have, for example, read multiple reports where people with an infection had a temperature increase before getting Covid symptoms.

That is what I understood that you use sleep tracking and the wrist temperature is recorded during sleep. The data it gathers is not useful at this time but I suspect that apple will in the future might develop someting for it.

I tend to use my Oura ring for base temperature changes, though the ultra is just as accurate.

Both picked up earlier this week a 2 degree overnight rise, that coincided with an infection and a fever that required antibiotics.

When I last had COVID both picked it up a day before I felt ill.
