How do you use your notebook at home?

How is the heat from a MBP on your lap? Can you compare it to a PowerBook? Do you have a 15 or 17?

I have a 17". Burns like a mother$#^%!. Can't put it directly on the lap for very long.

I can't really answer this poll because I use a combination of the first three choices. Some of the time it is on my lap such as late at night in bed and other times I have it on my desk connected to another display with extended display configured. I don't own an iCurve, so that option is out.

You need to include an A, B & C choice.

I had my macbook on my lap all evening last night. It got a little warm after a few hours, but nothing that I couldn't live with.

Mine is on a Griffin Elevator(iCurve replacement), on a desk, connected to an external dispay(ACD).

I use it at my desk, but tend to move around with it and use it on my lap if I need to be somewhere else in the house.
