iPod touch how do you zoom out in maps?

When you double tap to zoom in while in satelite view (or any view, really), how do you zoom back out?

Pinch. I don't think there's a way to snap back, so I just pinch back to the view I want.

You do the 2 finger pinch, where you take two fingers on the screen, and pinch them together.
