I got wireless in my home to surf MR from my bed, and have an LCD placed behind the bed, and one on the ceiling so that I don't miss any of the action.
See, if I did that in our bedroom then my girlfriend would certainly make sure there would be no action going on where she's concerned. ;)

And the settee isn't that comfy to sleep on...

jaffa cake then your misses will enjoy my latest thread:p ;) , no one really cares about me spending time here, at around 3 post a day Im not too bad even though I spend around 5 hours daily here. My brother is a lurker here aswell, no time to post though since he has a job and travels a lot.

Well, my boyfriend thinks it's a bit odd, but then he surfs the net for all sort of sad stuff like Doctor Who rumours and stuff, and I think that's a bit odd. :p We've got a kind of unspoken agreement that we're probably as bad as each other, but in different ways. :D

The other thing is that he's quite into comedy, and frequents a British comedy forum (which shall remain nameless) that he's posted about twice on and just lurks because all the people are so horrible on it. He's always getting really angry reading it because all the people are so rude, and stupid and awful. So my point is at least most of you all are clever and nice and funny, and I have a certain connection with people here. I wouldn't be here if I didn't have a good time with you all. ;)

He just bought an iBook, so maybe I should get him to register. Maybe he already has!

Oh, but he did say that when I was going to meet some of you in real life that you'd all steal my kidneys. So that was nice. But he was joking, and you didn't steal my kidneys, so it's all good. :p

my boyfriend thinks I'm a complete loser because I'm into the whole art/computer thing while he is into only soccer. and I mean only soccer. haha

Michael thinks I'm absolutely nuts, but then again he doesn't understand why I like macs, either...

He doesn't pester me about it, though.

My boyfriend spends a good chunk of time at VWvortex... I spend my time here. :p He often asks if I've read anything interesting or especially note-worthy. My parents... just seem confused and lost by the whole thing.

I think about scary things happening... but I still haven't met any MR members in person yet. Although plans have been made, they've also fallen through. :( Guess I'm not loved.

Bummer! It'll happen. You just have to be persistent. I've met 4 MR members so far- all great people.

LOL. I didn't think that there would be anyone else in exactly the same situation with me. :D

My bf always in the VWvortext and VWDOV (local VW forum). He ususally ask me if there's any new rumour about 13" MBP or video iPod.

Yeah. I know you've had a grand time. ;) I eagerly await more meet ups and more photos of the two of you...

Yeah, I feel like such an evil hypocrite because after being with him for almost four years, I'm pretty fed up with being called away from whatever I'm doing to see more pictures of engine bays where the only things I can effectively spot are: frontmount intercoolers, or a giant snail (a turbo). They all look the same to me! Tons of piping/tubing/hoses some with bright bold colors/black/ or chrome. And yet I don't hesitate to bore him w/ potential rumors of 'x' product. :p

My wife doesn't care. I do most of my posting from work, so it doesn't really interefere with our relationship. But occasionally, I'll mention something to her that I read on MR. She just rolls her eyes and tells me what a dork I am. But hey, she's the one who married me. :D

Hey! There are quite a few of us here who could take offence at that. Get him signed up, he sounds a fine fellow! :p

Heh heh - yeah, I know, I know. :p Actually, I watched the first episode and rather enjoyed it, but hearing the minutiae of Christopher Eccleston and Billie Piper's past careers and the repeated watchings throughout the week ended up putting me off a bit. He's promised to be less mental this time round though. :D

she doesn't seem to care. i still feel funny when i tell her about advice or other info i got on the forums, explaining where i got it from, but oh well.

she knew about the geekiness before meeting me even (from my brother) so i guess she doesn't care overall. plus, she is now using an old pismo instead of a newer dell laptop she had in law school... booyah!

hopefully she doesn't come here on her own, or the surprise is up!

Wife says nothing

My wife doesn't seem to mind too much. But then again, I don't spend a lot of time on here, or computers in general outside of work. She's not too much into computers or anything technical at all really. Just as long as I don't say anything about her time spent cruising E!online engaging in celebrity idolatry.

my gf is geeky enough to ask me whats going on in the apple world via macrumors, but too cool to join herself. She and her sister will be celebrating their one year switch anniversary in may, maybe she'll join then. And she circumvents me when needing help with her iMac, if she has a problem, she doesnt ask me for help, she asks me to ask you guys !
