Can I purchase a Macbook Air online and pick it up in-store the day of?

Say it's their release day (let's say the 14th turns out to be the release, which of course it will be!). Can I go online, pay with a credit card, and specify I'm picking up from the specific place I want to. Then I just drive over there and pick it up?

    Or is that completely impossible?

I figure if worst comes to worst, I'll end up purchasing the Air at the store to pick up on another day... but it would be nice to manage to snag one up right away without the issue of having to secretly hate the people who possibly get infront of me and buy them all up first.

I'm sure they'll have plenty of them. Just go into the store and buy it.

the iPhone and iPad are the only apple items known to sell out.

    Alright. Hope so.

Difficulty is I may want a processor upgrade, but no SSD upgrade... and if they don't have baseline 4GB RAM, then I'll need a RAM upgrade as well.

And since it's all soldered in, they'd have to have a model with a better processor, regular SSD size, and 4GB of RAM. Lol. Hopefully I don't get suckered into paying $200 more for a larger SSD.

At our local store they have the ultimate 11s but not the ultimate 13s.
