How does the underlying technology with the AW3 work? In other words, when you are away from your phone, how do phone calls and data get to do? I don't think providers in the USA support multiple SIM cards, so that means that the AW3 will need to have its own TN (that the iPhone forwards to). So that means that either Apple pays for the service on the TN or we need to pay for service on that other TN... perhaps like adding a tablet to a mobile share account.

Any thoughts?

He did say it works with just one number, but it is possible that the watch has a 'silent' number that is not publicly used. In order for a device to receive calls, it needs a TN.

The eSIM is maybe set up to receive forwarded calls when it is not linked to the phone via bt.
