I think this is the right place to ask this, or should I be asking this in the Mac/Windows discussion.

I have read about Boot Camp, EFI on the Mac and, why intel made EFI. From Wikipedia.

But I want to know how does Apple emulates a PC BIOS in plain english for me? I would like to really know how this works.

Thanks.

Hugh

Apple aren't doing anything. They just enabled the backwards compatibility layer that should have been built into their EFI in the first place. Intel designed this "BIOS" so best bet is to check Intel for the information.

You can actually order free books from Intel describing the inner workings of a lot of things.
