iPod touch How does iPod Touch 4G "feels" compared to iPhone 4/4S?

Buy a 4S. You won't regret it

I am disappointed by the processing power and RAM in the 4th gen iPod touch to be honest. I constantly closing apps to make it run smooth. Coming from the iPhone 4 i was surprised (in a bad way) i think it needs more RAM to be able to run the latest games such as infinity blade 2 etc.
Trust that guy iPhone 4s is worth it. There is a reason it sells more than the iPhone 4 last year.;)
I got it and sold my touch and never looked back

Have iPT4 for 14 months before getting iPhone 4 (not S), and they both respond very similar.

The 4S will be snappier, better performance, but less battery life.

Mmm... When running the same games my friend's iPod Touch tends to stutter and lag from time to time, but my 4S goes without a hitch :)

Actually, the iPad 2 has a slight difference compared to the iPhone 4S. The iPad 2's processor is clocked at the full 1 GHz, while the iPhone 4S is only underclocked to 800 MHz. Therefore, the iPad 2 has a bit more power.

The iPhone 4s has a Dual Core Processor and the iPad 2 does not have a Dual Core Processor

Sorry for the bump, but this might help others out with the same dilemma. The iPhone 4 and 4S have more RAM, which speeds up loading. The iPod touch 4G and iPhone 4S boast a Retina display, which makes the screen AMAZING. The ipod touch, however, has a lower RAM and runs quite slow, slower than the iPod touch 3G. Also, the iPhone 4S has Siri, which the iPod touch doesn't. The camera on the iPhone 4 and 4S is better than that of the iPod touch. Don't forget, SMS and calling are exclusive to the iPhone and Safari can be used anywhere due to the mobile network, while the iPod touch needs Wi-Fi. So, it's your choice, but I would say go for the iPhone 4 or 4S.

I have got an iPod touch 4th gen and an iPhone 4 (I have both so I can do multiplayer testing for my next app). I haven't noticed too much difference in speed, but there is a big difference in image quality. The iPod screen has a small viewing angle before colours start to look washed out. The iPhone screen is brilliant.
