As per the title I have noticed that if the music has an iTunes Plus version on the iphone store the little plus appears in the corner of the 'purchase' button but how do I know i'm getting the plus version? There doesn't seem to be any sort of visual feedback on what version your buying

    Cheers

iTunes Plus is a branding Apple use to differentiate between tracks of a higher audio quality. As well as this, when you buy a track which is entitled 'iTunes Plus' you are buying a track which has been stripped of Apple's controlling DRM encryption technology, meaning the track(s) can be used on any MP3 player, as well as iPod.

Originally they cost 99p. Apple has now dropped the price to 79p to match normal tracks in the store.

I thought 'Plus' versions cost more money though? They still have a price of 79p next to them.

At least in the US, they used to cost $1.29, while other songs only costed $.99, but as most people weren't paying the extra $.30, Apple just made all the songs $.99, at least that is how it happened in the US.

Right that makes sense! I think it must be the same in the UK as well as it used to be 99p for a plus track.

So basically if it has a plus next to it i'm automatically getting the plus version.

    Cheers!

Yep, apple ghanged the pricing here in old blighty, and they definetly work on iPhone. I downloaded Pat Benetar's greatest hits in McDonnalds the other day because they have much faster broadband than i have in the house. The only difference You'll see on the phone is the little + beside the Buy button
