I have Portal, Half Life 2 etc and they run great even though the requirments say nvidia geforce 8 or higher..which I understand is better than the 9400m? So I saw Left 4 Dead 1 & 2 on sale on steam and wondered if they would run okay. 9400m, 2.53 Ghz, 4GB RAM. Thanks

I'm running NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT with 256MB VRAM. Intel Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz. 2GB DDR2 RAM. It surprisingly runs well with my crap setup. You should have no problem with yours.

Both games used to run great on my 9400M Macbook, under Windows with newest drivers and slight overclock. Native res at medium-high settings maintaining 60fps.

Bear in mind L4D1 is getting on a bit so it should run on any Mac from 2008+ (under Windows at least).

    Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_2_8 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8E401 Safari/6533.18.5)

I ran l4d2 with foil on a 2009 mbp with 4 gigs of ram - but it ran like complete crap. I assumed if I ran it on bootcamp it would have been ok tho. I played oblivion with wine on the same machine with no issues.
