How does reminder widget work?

How does reminder widget work? I have turned on but the section doesn't show at all. What gives? I can't imagine how it would even work, I have like 10 lists. Do I get to pick which list?

Only certain iOS apps on the current day. Right. Launcher has been taken down.

There's an app called OneList reminders widget (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/onelist-reminders-widget-for/id921570828) which can display all reminders for a particular list in a widget.
