Was surprised to set a reminder to bring my books when I get in the car, and as soon as i got in the car it reminded me. how does the app know when I get in or leave my car???

How does reminders app know when i get into my car?

Sounds like pure chance. Unless your car was at a specific location labeled as 'Car' in your contacts.
Yes the reminder only works in my car with bluetooth. In any of my other cars (without bluetooth) the reminder does not work.
