Hi there. I hoped to use the offline reading list in Safari (iOS 11) for… well… offline reading. But I can't make it work. I add items to the reading list but then when I am offline and try to open a page it says the page is not available for offline reading.
My expectation was that I add items to the list and Safari downloads the page content in the background and stores it locally on the device for me to access at any time. Obviously that's not the case.

Any ideas?

Safari technically caches the particular link I think.

Check if this is enabled: Settings -> Safari -> scroll down “Automatically Save Offline”

It's enabled. Still the same. But thanks anyway.
