In terms of lockscreen what will come up? I mean normally you just get the camera if you double click the home button so how will siri come up then?

is there something also on the earphones that will come with the phone to activate siri? just some things i'm wondering.

Also in the demo video it has a text being read out loud as she got the text...how does that work exactly?

I thought it was a home button hold, not a double click.

It's a hold. It replaces Voice Control.

And the earphones have a button (I think it's for play/pause/answer calls). I imagine this can be used since in the demo video, the jogger and the guy in the car held the button before speaking to Siri.

I think you can ask Siri to just read the message out loud. And if you're talking about the woman at the end of the video, I think she is blind and it may be an accessibility setting to read it out loud automatically.

    Thanks for that

explains my queries....great idea for the earphones when on the go.

I wonder if it can read out notifications...wasn't mentioned so maybe it doesn't.

I don't think it hooks with any third party applications, so I'd say reading notifications (other than texts, iMessages, and maybe emails) is a no go.

True, maybe over time it will.

Interesting point on e-mail, wonder if they would read that out.

I am too wondering how they will solve the locked screen problem.

I mean if you have a lock screen with pass, surely you don't want a thief reading your notifications and txtmessages through siri by just holding down the home button?

Maybe it's dependent on your passcode lock settings.
