how does SquareTrade handle dropped iPad 2 with cracked screen/case?

    My iPad 2 stopped working after it fell on the floor at the airport.

    I bought the SquareTrade 3-year warranty with accidental damage protection.

    I have their warranties for all of my devices, but this is the first time that I need to file a claim. It seems like they're not open on the weekend.

    Does anyone have any experience on how SquareTrade will handle it? Will they attempt to repair it first or will they just ship me a refurbished unit as replacement?

    They'll probably attempt to repair it. That's what they did when my bro broke his phone a few years ago. Good luck!

    A friend had SquareTrade on a laptop. They sent it in, repaired it, and sent it back. No problems afterwards.
