For instance Samsung Note series and LG V series and Google Pixel?
I've been told both that iPhone has the worst sound and that it has the best sound.

Which phone are you referring to? On my iPhone 8+ it works just fine. No crackling or distortion.

Iphone x sounds great. Stereo speakers “one on each end “ and the volume goes pretty loud. A MAJOR sound upgrade from my 6 plus.

Are you talking about the sound from the mic while recording video or the sound from the speakers while playing back something?

Audio sound on the X is VERY good, very pleasing and can get pretty loud. I can't compare to the 8 and 8+, but the implementation my understanding is the same.

Call quality is also very good. When I had my x (qualcomm) and my wife had her 8 (qualcomm), the sound quality between the two was really excellent, best I've had in years. And that was with a 6s to a 6s, or 6s to landline, etc.

This video might help -

Loudness is not the same as quality.

The iPhone X sounds almost as good as the iPad Pro, which is ridiculously good for even a tablet.
There are very few android phones with good speakers but all of those have massive speaker grills that are intrusive on the design.

Also can we just stop promoting YouTube channels that are already way out of proportion? Why would our society reward millions of dollars to guys who just party all day and peel off some plastic film off of new phones with millions of dollars? There are way better. It smaller review channels out there.

What are you talking about in terms of promoting channels?! The OP asked a question and I found a relevant video that does show something similar. You’re taking this way to seriously mate.

I agree. The sound on the 6s was pretty low-end.
It's a huge upgrade for me as well with my 8 Plus.

I own a Note 8, Pixel 2 XL, and X. If you are going by speaker quality sound, it is X > Pixel 2 XL > Note 8.

Why is asking a genuine and relevant question now trolling?

Are you kidding me, this is just a Apple vs anything thread, it has nothing to do about sound quality,
He just states "I have been told" and "iPhone has the worst"

Or he would have asked about real sound quality TESTS !

Do you have any idea how filthy rich is the unbox therapy channel? You could’ve used videos from other smaller and better channels.

How’s that even relevant?! You think people don’t have any better job rather that searching YouTube videos?!

Had a pixel, a IP7 and currently have an S8 and X. The sound on the X is far superior to the original pixel. It is about 25% better ( louder and clearer ) than the Ip7, which was pretty good. The S8 is loud for one speaker but not as good as the X. The X uses both speakers on calls, whereas the Pixel XL 2s only use one.

Isn't that exactly what he is doing? He clearly states that he has been told some second hand information, and now he's trying to figure out the facts?

You guys are amazing.

Although different topic but knowing you have all of them, how would you rank those three screen wise? I am intrigued by the Note by not sure I want to pull the trigger in place of my X.

These comparison videos are just useless bait. The only thing that is crucial to know is are each of those phones equipped with decent speakers.

The Note 8 and X screen probably tie for me, the Note 8 is more colorful and saturated, but the X has much more realistic colors. I think they are the best two and you can't go wrong with either. The Pixel 2 XL screen is far behind those two.
