Not sure why you are counting the menu bar in the 16:10 screen ration.
I'm not counting it as part of the 16:10 ratio, because it isn't. It's part of the screen, though. Saying it's 16:10 below the menu bar doesn't address the question you responded to, which is about how the departure from 16:10 with the menu bar shows on 16:10 external monitors.

Yes, it show´s, that most of the people here on macrumors aren´t very intelligent. They aren´t able to answer my question although it is a very easy one. Typical Apple users ;-)

Actually... yes... there are stupid people who buy Macs... just because they look expensive. But in this case... you are stupid.

It is the same way it has always been on a Mac:
You extend the display... and every screen will have its native resolution (or a custom one you set) and its own content. Makes no difference whether you use a new MBP or an older one.

If you mirror... and the aspect ration doesn't fit... you can either have black bars top and bottom on the MBP. Or Left and right on the external display.
It's been like that for years... when most external displays or TVs have been 16:9 vs the MBP's 16:10.
Just that now... the MBP is even taller... getting closer to 4:3... which will increase the black bars.
And no... there will be no notch. Same as when mirroring an iPhone. Because the desktop is still fully rendered. Which is why you can also hide the cursor behind the notch.
And since you are so smart... and we are so dumb... how could you have not figured this out by yourself?!

What does the display look like? Are there any photos of it?

If you mirror the internal display to external, you get black bars to the sides now because the internal screen is slightly taller than 16:10. Also menu bar is thicker compared to normal.

If you extend the display, everything is fine and works the same as before.

Why oh why is anyone continuing to explain on this thread besides providing entertainment for OP and amusing folks like me.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

great question, will a notch appear on an external display?

smh.

All of us who read this entire thread (including me) must be individuals with pre frontal lobotomies aka a Notch in our forehead.

I guess the OP has no idea how external display works and resolution works. I'm out of this thread.
