How does the watch impact iPhone battery life?

Just got the watch on Friday and so far having lots of fun with it. My question is about the impact on the iphone (specifically I have a 6) battery life. Since the watch is constantly connected to the phone via bluetooth, does this greatly reduce the battery life from a full charge?

I have a 6+, and see no significant battery drop while connected to the watch.

Since using my iphone (6) less it's been at around 70% to 80% every night when plugging it in at bedtime. I maybe pick it up 1/4 as much as I did before getting the watch, which holds a pretty good charge as well, usually about 50% for the entire day.
