EDIT TITLE: Moving your wrist to check the time, BETWEEN just moving it***. Apologies for the messy title, it's almost midnight as I type this and I am feeling quite tired.

This boggles me, I see videos of people wearing the watch and the display is always off when their arm is down or they are moving their arm about, but how does the watch know when your moving it to check the time??

it's only based on an accelerometer, i.e. if you move your arm in a way that is consistent with raising+twisting, then it will turn ON.
If you rest your arms on your desk and just peek at your wrist, it WON'T turn on. And if you're masturbating, it might turn ON at every upstroke, depending on your technique
