I preordered an iPhone XS Max last year when Xfinity opened up preorders and received it on launch day. I'm eligible to upgrade now (verified online) but says I need to bring my current phone into a store. Does anybody know if I'll be able to preorder through their site when preorders for the new iPhones begin or will I not be able to preorder and need to go into a store and try to score one on launch day? Thanks in advance!

Terribly. Existing customers get screwed, you need to walk into a store with your old device and do the trade there, from what they have in stock.

I know... I told them that sucks too. The rep I spoke to told me to make an appointment online at the store I want to go to, which I did for 10:30AM on the 20th. I'm trading in my XS Max for a Pro Max in Midnight Green or Space Gray and the rep said that they expect full stock for that time. We shall see. Good luck!

Sounds just like an Apple Store Walk-in. The indignity

Forgot to mention the rep said Xfinity added this for existing customers who are annoyed about the upgrade experience.

"Xfinity Mobile is constantly innovating its products and systems to enhance the customer experience. That's why we have created a promotion for our existing customers where you will be eligible for a $250 visa prepaid card. The requirements are very easy to meet!
You will just need to go to the store and upgrade your phone! And keep your account active and in good standing. The visa prepaid card will be shipped 16-18 weeks after the purchase of your new device.
Once you completed your upgrade, you will be able to access this link https://xfinityrewardcenter.com/status and check the status of the promotion. You just need your Comcast account number!"

I added a line, had the phone in my cart. Prior to it adding it, the delivery said Sept 20th. After I placed the order and checked a few hours later it shows Oct 4. Not sure why it changed.

I placed an Xfinity order today, Monday 9/16, for a Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro Max 256GB. For some reason it says Sept 20 and still says that in my order, which I find dubious. Fingers crossed?

FWIW It seems the only models that are 10/4 and semi-sold-out for Xfinity are the 11 Pro Gold 256GB, and the 11 Purple, Red and Black 128GB, and the 11 Green 64GB and 128GB are sold out with no estimated date. So it's not like they just have "9/20" as a placeholder and it seems like they might be able to actually deliver on launch

Yea mine said 9/20 at checkout but moved to 10/4. I’m going to cancel and get the white one. The pro max looks nice but I can’t justify over 1100 for a phone for an extra lens and maybe slightly better battery

Any source on this other than the one-off reply here? I upgraded today on 2 lines and heard nothing of it, and got an email that the $250 is for new customers who port in, vs the $300 last year.

I think someone had smoke blown somewhere, if this was a post of "fact" that was told to them.
