My mid 2013 MBA has been my road warrior / travel companion for the past couple of years. It wears a Moshi iGlaze and is carried in a Timbuk2 messenger bag, plus still looks and operates as brand new. I have less than 100 charge cycles on it, as it's connected to AC power most of the time, and the battery health is still quite good.

Imagine the Macbook Air as a Mercedes-Benz with the bullet-proof doors and rifles and grenade-proof underbelly. Just don't get water on it.

my 2006 macbook white is brand new, and was costantly 24/24 turned on without a reboot for 5 years. It s running OSX Snow Leopard and is fast as the day i bought it
my 2008 macbook air is brand new, aestetics is like the first day i bought it and performance is better (thanks to OSX El Capitan)
I feel like using brand new notebooks!

edit: i use it a lot of hours but only light use

My 13" 2011 MBA has been amazingly durable. Someone already posted a pic of their Air after hitting a hard tile floor...I had the exact same thing happen with the same result. I throw it in my backpack each day without any extra protection and its lasted this long. In fact, the durability is almost too good; I can't justify buying a new laptop yet.

I've had mine since 2014, December 13. It's an early 2014 MBA. It's been serving me really well. I haven't tested its durability by smashing it but I mean, it looks brand new and I take really good care of it. I probably won't be getting a new laptop in the next several years. Unless something disastrous happens to my MBA.

Yep my 11" looks flawless after over 2 years of everyday use and lots of travel (domestic and international). I do keep a cloth over the keyboard when it's in my backpack; I squish it in with a lot of stuff and don't want the screen scratched.
