I've had the black Ultra 2 since release day and wear it about five days/week. No scratches so far even though I've whacked it pretty good on the edge of the desk a few times. Just got the new black Milanese loop band and it looks great. They've done a fine job of engineering the band with the new clasp. No scratches on it, either.

Ended up getting an Apple Watch Series 8 Stainless Steel (silver) on sale from Costco for £249.00
Had it for about 4 weeks now and couldn't be happier this thing is so beautiful and looks very elegant. Love that it has Sapphire Glass and micro scratches can be buffed out.

As much as I love the watch, I personally like to keep my watch dent free, especially if the under coating of silver might show through with a few dings.

I purchased this on the UK Amazon site and it's so light and fits brilliant on the watch, and as the Ultra 2 is also black it blends in very well. Fantastic purchase!

I returned my black Ultra 2 when it became clear it was getting minor white scratches despite me doing NOTHING to scratch it. My titanium ultra was in such good condition after 2 years I got £350 for it on eBay. Sadly the “diamond coating” is nonsense and just living in the watch gave me multiple small but noticeable scratches. Luckily I was within the window and got full refund and free postage. I bought a Series 10 in jet black and I am v happy.
There isn’t any scratches there wtf

My release day U2 Black has zero scratches or marks. I workout with it, sleep with it and so on. I have banged it into a few things but they rubbed off the transfer from what I hit. I will tell you my U1 would have the bezel edges mark up very easy when rubbing against things. I’ve had 0 issues with that on the black, I’ve hit the same things with it and there were no marks.

If you scratched the Ultra you will total destroy the jet black watch.
Yeah the alu-cases and ION-X screens are not even remotely close!

I have had the Ultra 1 for a couple of years now and it looks almost new - pretty damn great
