I would like to try and purchase an iPhone X by waiting in line on release date since my pre-order isn't scheduled to arrive until 11/17-11/24. How early would you recommend getting in line to secure an iPhone?

Depends on your area. I’d say check the meetup threads here and see if there is something specific to your area. If not create one.

I've been pondering the same exact thing (almost started a new thread, glad I looked to find yours)... Also, there are about 3 stores in my current immediate radius. The two closest are Palo Alto and Stanford - I've wondered which one would stand to be the best odds...

I had the stupid "were updating the store" splash screen on two separate devices until 12 minutes after everything started (despite constant cache clearing, reloading, browser restarting...). I had almost gotten to the point that I believed Apple might have flaked. Meh...

To late, you should have had your tent pitched up 2 days ago
[doublepost=1509234063][/doublepost]If memory serves me right, when the new ipad mini came out, some people had camped out for 4 days at the Regent Street store in London, just to make sure they were first in line.

Are you going to apple or carrier store? For apple I would line up Wednesday night or Thursday early if possible.
Im lining up at AT&T and will get there late afternoon Thurs.
