I'm trying to rephrase something I've asked before in another thread, people keep talking about how to "back up" stuff from their phone to their iTunes account. I have some older versions of apps that I'd like to save and install on a new phone (without backing up the entire phone contents and the data in those apps) in an iTune account.

Does anyone know the steps I should take? I can't slide apps from my phone into an iTunes account like it seems I could have years ago in old versions of iTunes.

EDIT: Something quick and easy to use all the time... ideally it would be able to be one of the modular options on the watch face itself, using it often would be so much eaiser.

Well you can now download iTunes 12.6.3. That returns the ability to manage apps.

Updating to 12.6.3 is not straight forward from 12.7 see - https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...tunes-12-6-3-with-built-in-app-store.2076410/

You want to set up a folder for old app versions (*.ipa) you want to keep. Do you have the files on your computer or are they only on your iOS device? If only on your device do a back up of that device. Using finder go into the mobile applications folder in iTunes and see if the version in there is the correct one, if not move that version to a temporary folder and re back up your device, now when you check the older version should be there. Make a copy to your old app versions folder so you always have a copy safe. You can now use iTunes to load the old version of your app onto your other device.

Good luck.
