Hello forum,

The Apple Ultra looks very interesting, but I would appreciate it very much if this device could - at least partially - be voice commanded, e.g for simle tasks like :

- addind a voice command
- dialing a contact

What do you think, are we still may years away from a voice commanded Apple Watch?

Thank you!
Bill

Siri is alive and well on the Apple Watch, and has been for a looooooooooong time.

With the usual caveats that Siri isn’t perfect, it’s no trouble at all to, completely hands-free, use voice commands to place calls, send messages and emails, open apps … everything you’d expect.

So, yes: we’re many years away from a voice-commanded Apple Watch. But that’s many years in the past from it, not many years in the future.

agree with Ben. Not sure if you've ever used an Apple Watch, but I've been doing those things via Siri for many years now. If Siri doens't happen to work for you, then that's a bummer, but those are simple tasks for many Apple Watch users.

Thank you very much for your helpful and friendly feedback:)
You are right! I never used an Apple Watch an got this information from a person who bought an Ultra as a status symbol.

As for me, the thing will become interesting asap such voice commands will work in very remote areas w/o wifi connection.

Thank's again and sorry for spreading wrong informations!

Siri could use some serious cognitive assistance. I do not understand why Apple does not put more brains behind Siri. it is one thing they could do to improve the Apple experience for all of us. Siri can’t do some of the most basic things, a little AI would go a long way.

Instead of trying to come up with a new hardware gimmick for the watch or phone, make Siri way more than it is today.
