How fast is the AC WIFI client in the new riMac?

Is it a AC1200 client? I am considering to upgrade my wifi router together with my new iMac and is thinking of which router is best coupled with the new riMac

i thing it is the same 100% wifi chip like 2013 generation.

I am in the same position. Still have an older Router so I think on getting a new one to improve performance with the new iMac as I can't connect it via cable.
