Just wondering, how fast a normal MacBook Pro should boot up?
Around 30-40 secs. It depends on your HD and start up items though.
SSD < 20 secs
HDD ~ 45 secs
Thats a bit like saying how fast should a normal car get to 60mph...
Need a bit more detail on your macbook pro, what ghz mainly? core 2, i5 or i7?
Presume no SSD.
But generally what the others have said.
I also feel that after using ONYX maintenance tool start up times can be slower, could just be me though.
2010 Macbook Pro 13" C2D with:
stock 5400rpm HDD: 35 seconds
WD Scorpio Black 7200rpm: 25 seconds
Kingston SSDNow V+ Series SNVP325-S2B/128GB: 15-16 seconds
all though with filevault it takes a lot longer, I get 45 sec off my MBP (signature)
