How find the reason why MBP froze?

twice my MBP froze while I was browsing using Chrome

Is it somehow possible to find the reason why it froze?

I am on OS X 10.9.2

Chrome is infamous for being a resource hog on OS X.

I'd stay away from Chrome. I use Firefox and Safari myself.

Sure, open up the Console.app located in /Applications/Utilities/Console.app

Under System Diagnostics Report, try to find the crash log for it.

You can look at the logs as mentioned, but my bet is Chrome. Stop using that and see if the stability returns.

thanks all. I guess I must stay away from Chrome. FF on the other had I have had bad experiences with Windows 7. So only try is Safari.
