I will be getting the iPhone 6+ and am sick of AT&T's poor coverage in my area. For me it's a tossup between Verizon and Cricket. My girlfriend has Verizon and has a network extender she uses at my house, so switching to Verizon would be logical. But Verizon's plan is $90/month, and Cricket's is $45...

What is the real difference between these two carriers? In the event I don't get good coverage in my immediate area, would I be able to use an unlocked iPhone on Cricket with my girlfriend's Verizon network extender?

What about features like Wifi calling and VoLTE through Cricket?

Cricket uses AT&T's network. It's actually a subsidiary of AT&T now.

Verizon has an individual plan right now for Unlimited talk and text with 2gb of data for $60 per month. Limited time deal.
