My real issue is that I have a hard time telling where my fingers are when they are just resting on the keyboard and I'm not looking at it, as the keys are so large and low.

The keyboard has the usual markers on the F and J keys, so you can easily place your index fingers when you aren't looking at the keyboard. They perhaps aren't as obvious as on other keyboards, but I don't usually have a problem locating them.

I think he probably means locating the relative position of the rest of the keys once he is typing away. I understand - all of these small keyboards suffer this to some extent as there are not the big gaps between the keys that most traditional keyboards have. The Macbook is better than most minimalist ones though in that the keys are larger than average and do have some space between them (I'm thinking of the Surface keyboards in comparison which have zero space between the keys making it easy to get lost when typing fast). Typing well on a keyboard like this does take a lighter touch than we are sometimes used to. Develop that sensitivity though and it's a pretty great keyboard considering the size.
