I know this requires come guessing but do you think this iPhone is going to be as hard to get as last year's? I remember Apple being out of stock almost up until December.....

I'm sure Apple learned from that "mistake". There may be a drought somewhere at the start, but I wouldn't expect it to last into November or December.

I'm just itching for a new phone..... I love apple but does the galaxy edge plus interest me.....yes.

I don't have much faith in them after the last couple of iphone preorders and the apple watch preorders. i'm prepared to be disappointed at not getting my product on release day AGAIN

I don't think it will be an issue this time around. They probably have this down pat with build process and supplies or more available. I think supplies was an issue last time. Also, before it was a completely new space that they had not entered. Two brand new phones a big departure in size from previous phones. Probably why the iPad Pro isn't coming till November. They probably aren't fully prepared.

I'll believe it after I see it. If I get our phones ordered with a delivery date of the 25th, I'll believe they've learned from past issues!

I don't think it will be much different to every other year to be honest, the 6+ was quite difficult to get hold of last year

Probably not as hard as 6+ was last year unless the new 3D Touch sensor yield is low.

Typically the "S" series updates are easier to get a hold of than the "number" updates in my experience. I didn't pre-order a 5S and was able to walk in to an Apple store on launch day after I got off work and pick one up. Yes there were lines and they were handing out tickets for people to queue up, but there was stock available. This obviously will differ based on where you are located.

This update will be smoother. Manufacturing would have been a step ahead of the curve with the design already established. I'm sure we will see some delays but nowhere nearlast year.

I really hope it won't be that hard to get on lunch day. I'm on vacation and the Internet is awful so I won't be able to pre order. I'm planing on going to my local Apple Store on launch day. I will get there about an hour and a half before it opens and then I'll wait in line. Hopefully I'll get my phone.

I'm not 100% sure I'm going to upgrade to iPhone 6s plus. But if I do I'm probably going to wait around Janurary to buy one. Because I know stock is always limited. and I don't want to have to settle for a color I don't. I really want rose gold so I know everyone is going to want to get their grubby paws on it.

Until then I'll just have to be content with my iPhone 6 plus.

Think of how much more awesome your holiday pictures would be with the improved 12mp rear camera and the improved 5mp front facing cam though!

I know. I'm on vacation right now and I'm thinking about how much better my already good pictures would be with the new camera.

I think the problem last year was that apple underestimated the percentage of people that would get the 6+ over the 6, this year they will have a better idea because of that experience.

They always sell more than they have ready so you'll likely have to wait for a bit, but I don't think the 6S+ will be any harder to get than the 6S. If you're wanting the rose gold I could see that going either way as I don't see apple getting the numbers right on that the first time around it'll probably either be really easy to find or very difficult and probably not in-between.

Same happened to me during the 5s release. Was able to just go right after work without a preorder and walk in and pick one up. Granted they only had certain colors/gb versions of the 5s but they did have them in stock.

Not really fretting this one too much. Will probably just go after I get off work (get off in the early morning anyways) and pick one up. I am digging apples new payment plan for sure. Beats spending 900$ in one swing.

I'll probably be wrong but I like to think things are going to be better this time around. The production rumours started months ago alongside estimate of 80 - 90 million units (?). There doesn't seem to be much hype around it in the media really either compared to previous years but at the end of the day it's an iPhone release...

Either way, I'll be awake first thing Saturday morning to get my order in and would encourage anyone else who wants it to do the same.

I also own a s6 edge so I'll probably use that during holiday time for photos.
