Now that it's been a couple months, do you wish you stayed on 9 or happy with 10?

Pro shipped with 9.3, mature iOS 9, so just curious

I had 10 beta on my 12.9 pro in the summer before I sold it and wiped it back to 9

Feels a tad slower and more sluggish on iOS 10, but generally happy with the new features and design aesthetic. Hence why I both dread and look forward to iOS 11.

the design elements are worth it to you over getting some lag?

ugh, I may just stay put on 9.3.3 even after next jailbreak,

my pro is working pretty dang well not perfect of course but solid

Love iOS 10, but I just don't think it fully caters to iPad, like for example when you swipe up and there are 2 tabs is an absolute joke, there's so much screen real-estate it's annoying having to swipe left to control music. iPad doesn't need an entire new OS, but it does need to be slightly different than an iPhone OS to be great.

The page where I fully swipe left is not proportional. Half the page is about news, etc. The other half shows 1/10 of the weather icon and an "edit" button smack in the middle. :S Waste of space.

got a 3yrs old ipad 4 retina and the new ipad pro 9.7 as gift. battery life span is a big plus for me. run them side by side but the ipad pro 9.7 drain out faster like a black ants vs the red ants. update the pro to latest ios maybe would fix the battery issue but didn't. i did sell the ipad pro and got the new iphone instead.

I overall enjoy many changes made in iOS 10. However, as it has been pointed out, there's still a lot of work Apple could put in to catering towards iPads. It seemed like they were headed in the right direction with split screen multitasking. I hope the success of the Surface puts more pressure on them to make iOS on iPads more robust. Certainly the hardware is more than capable enough these days. This iPad is likely the most snappy computing device I've used. It makes my MBP with an SSD and 16GB of ram feel like a dinosaur.

In what sense? 16gb ssd mpb seems like a bit of hyperbole.. being a dinosaur

Okay, yes it's hyperbole. But compared to my MBP the iPad is much smoother, quicker, longer lasting, lighter, and far nicer to stare at for hours. It feels far more modern in use. I'm admittedly not doing a whole lot of video editing or programming on this thing. In general use I find it far more pleasant of an experience. But back to the main point, iOS 10 runs fantastic on the Pro, but iPad specific functionality continues to trickle in at a snails pace which is frustrating.

I would agree with the last part, yeah they slapped Pro on iPad name then never followed up with software additions, outside of split screen as mentioned, haha
