@iBlue - I kind of hate you so much right now. Its actually fairly warm out right now, and its -13C.
:p Don't hate. I am a native Californian and I like it hot. Maybe not 45ºc hot, but hot. I really have a hard time with the weather here. It feels so cold all the time and it literally hurts me. I shiver all the time and my muscles cramp up and it makes me miserable. I think I would die (OMG, DIE?! yes, die.) in whatever location you're chillin' in.

My first year in Phoenix we had a record breaking 123ºF day. I was working underground cable construction, Sweat would evaporate before it got out of your pores. Salt buildup like mad.
HARSH!

Google just played a joke on me. Check out the weather for right now and for the rest of the week.

Every other weather service says it's going to be much hotter...and no snow.

Depends on the situation. Today was actually all over the place. During the hottest parts it was dry but once night hit, so did a few storms north and west of Port Pirie, so it got pretty humid.

Dry air plus heat is bearable, but wet air plus heat is painful. Well they're both painful.

Living in the driest state of the driest inhabited continent can really suck sometimes.

that is really bad hey!! yea i agree dry heat is barable, because your not sweating all over the place. 2day is very humid, the clouds just set in and its 10am. they look very black. i wanted to go to the beach argh!

Ahh, how I am glad to be up here in QLD!
where abouts in QLD??

lolism.. snow...

I'm comfortable between -20ºF and 90ºF, assuming appropriate clothing, outside of that range I get mighty cranky mighty quick.

:( That's what the temperature reached today in Adelaide, South Australia.

Got some pictures I took in the car on the way home, it was 6:40pm and still 45°c

Has your grass started randoming catching fire yet?

Reminds me of New Years day in Sydney, at the beginning of 2006, possibly 2007 (I forget).

went to do some watering at 6pm and it was still above 40 degrees, i was dripping with sweat just standing there with the hose. its 37 right now outside at 9.45pm

They still let you use water like that?

yuk i hate the cold. anything below 20°C and i need a jumper! the cold is so annoying, i cant even go to the beach and swim when the water temperature is 20°C (i probably could but im just a ***** haha).

You and I both, but believe it or not, you get used to it very easily. It's like when you get really hot. What do you do? You wear a singlet (aka: "wife beater" for the Americans) and head over to the beach. In the cold you do the opposite. You put on more clothes, and you don't feel so cold.

There's no reason to ever be glad for that. :p

I've been in 47 degrees.

When we arrived, we asked our local guide whether it might hit 50 over the next few days. He smiled and shook his head. "No sir," he said calmly. "At 50 degrees, we die."

you get used to the cold?? ugh i didnt when i went to the snow hahaha.

in summer i just normally wear the usual clothes, shirt and shorts. yesterday i got by with jeans and shirt. it was about 35°C, with nearly 80% humidity haha, im VERY used to the heat. havent been to the beach that much, i live right on it so you get bored of it, especiallly when you have a nice clean pool haha.

our winter here isnt bad, it doesnt get below 5°C in the nights, in the day it stays around 15°C-20°C. you can get by in jeans and a jumper, no layers for me :)

I remember a heatwave once where we hit 52ºC. It was so hot...

When I think about it some more, it wasn't really a heatwave, at least not by today's standards. About three days of weather in the high 40s. This coming week is going to be a heatwave.

Anything over 75ºF = too hot. This is in contention with the other person who lives here who is of the exact opposite opinion. Thanks to her, I'm hot a lot.

There is no such thing as too cold. You can always put on another sweater or something if you're cold. If it's hot, once you're naked that's it.

I totally agree, which begs to question why I still live in (Way too) sunny California. The summers are horrible (they get up to 50C sometimes where I live in the desert), but the winters are decent, today is a low of 5C and a high of 20C which I can live with.

That's what air conditioning is for.

Living in the arctic tundra, I can speak for most people here, we would trade Alabama weather for Minnesota weather in a heart beat.

I forgot to mention the 7 months out of the year where not only is it blisteringly hot, but there's near-constant 80+% humidity as well. Not only does one melt faster than butter on a hot stove, but it's a severely unpleasant sticky, smelly melting to boot.

When the missus gets her degree May next, we're headed up north somewhere, so feel free to draw straws to send someone down here in our place. ;)
