How hot is too hot

I was troubleshooting something on my phone and had to log in and out of my iCloud account several times and reboot as well. My phone got uncomfortably hot but didn't shut down. Could it get hot enough to cause damage to the internals or seal

You iPhone should shut down if it gets too warm. It should dim the screen and throttle the CPU first as they are the biggest sources of heat.

No need to worry about damage from the iPhone itself heating up.

Unless it's a Samsung phone .

You are good. The only way your device can get rid of it's heat is through the casing so it is normal.

Agreed. And the only way to not notice the warning, is you have to manually dismiss it.

throw some pasta in..
