iStats is reporting 40~60C for most temps... (CPU = 46, GPU = 62, power supply=65)

Except the Northbridge. The Northbridge is 84C.

My imac is 5 months old.

Should I be paying a visit to the store? I have an extended warranty, and it's certainly under Apple's warranty too.

You should be fine with those temperatures. The computers can run hot, but as long as it stays below 95-100ºC then it should run fine.

    Cool. :) (no pun intended)

I did download "iMacFanControl 1.2" - works great; I do like keeping chip temperatures down... NB is at 75 and decreasing.

It's also possible it's not reading the sensor right; iStat claims there are two northbridges. (maybe northbridge and southbridge, so it could be a misread on the sensor...)

That and, feeling the back of the iMac, it feels uniformly warm - no area felt scalding to the hot. 80 deg. C is **hot**...

My next Mac WILL be a Mac Pro. Proper case for better cooling... and better speed for video processing...
