I was Hoping iMessage had it but is there anyway to do this

if it is something you want to easily be able to find, just take a SS of it or swipe right and search

You have to disable "send read receipts" if you dont want people to know that you have read people's messages.

oh if that is what you meant, then yes. You just turn that setting off in messages. Then others will only see that their message was "delivered" and will never show "read"

I don't think that is what OP meant. I think he means if he checked a message on his, or someone else's phone, how to have your phone show the message as unread. Useful for snooping (not that I'm implying anything).

No way to do this, although it would be a nice feature.
