Completely off topic, but who needs two iPhone 4s's and two iPads? Anyway on topic, I never owned the old mac mini as the 2011 one was my first intel mac, i do miss having a DVD drive, but it doesn't bother me THAT much.

New Mac Mini 2007 owner

Hi Everyone, I ended up getting the 2007 mac mini I mentioned in a previous post... just couldnt resist a bargain, the shop let me have it for $170 AUD! It's so compact, very handy

The only issue I have is that the screen switches on/off constantly when I put the display on it's highest resolution. It stops when I switch down to 1600x900

Has anyone else come across this problem? Im thinking that the Mac can't handle the graphics processing at highest setting and the onboard graphics system gets overheated. Also, it only has 1Gb of RAM, would upgrading the RAM solve this issue perhaps? If it a problem with the machine, I can still return it.

Thanks
