How I'd Like To See The Macbook Pro

19-inch??? I'm sorry, but you're out of your mind.

There is absolutely no market for a 19-inch laptop - that's massive. The whole point of a laptop is portability. You may as well just buy an iMac...

well, if it was as thin as the macbook air (even thinner considering the more space it will have for parts due to the 19"), it's quite possible.
would be like a portable multimedia station :)

What I meant by the keys was that they would be pressed down more into the computer. They wouldn't extend so high because they wouldn't have that space underneath them. I'd actually like to see them exposed only about half the height of the key itself.

They are made out of that material for a specific reason. The grippiness allows for a better experience. The key travel is also essential to the feeling of having actually pressed the key. The reasons that they have those gaps is so they can be removed for cleaning. Even if that did not have those exposed sides, stuff would still get into them, and you'd have no way to repair or clean it.

Apple does plenty of ergonomics testing to determine the best way to do keyboards on a laptop.

19"? that's way too big, you might as well get a desktop, apple only does small refreshes at a time, keeep dreaminng

19" sounds pro to me.

When I think macbook pro I think of video producers and photographers that use their computers on the go for clients and going from studio to studio doing their work in different projects. A 19" computer would be a great "pro" device..instead of what it has become -- a consumers computer. The pro ain't pro anymore.

I imagine a button on the keyboard to undo the swivel latch, and the same button would bring it back up again. And it wouldn't come up if the ports were full. Also, I imagine some kind of USB adapter that would make the USB ends the size of headphone ports, so there would just be a bunch of small circles.

Errrrr Adapters sound good but if you dont have them with you all the time youre out of luck.

Apple trys to be pretty but that is to much.

Like some of your other ideas though :)

That probably has to do with the fact that Apple doesn't have a consumer laptop in the first place. Macbook? Please, it's a kiddie laptop not a consumer laptop.
