A few years back, I had a really classy looking fossil watch, one of their nicer watches but nothing more expensive than $200. Coincidentally, a friend of mine had a $2,000 watch that looked very similar. I can't remember the name. One night out, we asked a few people whose they liked better and most said they liked the fossil. Therefore, I don't think it's necessary to spend a lot of money on a watch unless you have the money to burn or it's a hobby to collect.
