the problem i see here is that people can't separate apple from apple
what i mean is, as far as a company goes, the departure of jobs doesn't mean that apple will go down overnight or in the future. they have a solid pipeline right now and they have enough of a reputation in the industry to stay in the game
now apple as an industry leader/trend setter/etc, that is up in the air. it remains to be seen if they will continue to be that company that we all know from recent memory.
the company isn't going anywhere but it may not have the same position in the industry once Jobs leaves and these products go through their life cycles. and lets not fool ourselves its not like everything Apple does today is a winner, the original Apple TV, Cube, etc.
and who knows they may redefine themselves and evolve into something completely different, similar to what IBM did
