How is apple doing this? songs from youtube.

    i was on youtube today.. and the video i was watching had a song in it.. and then a link popped up and said 'buy this song from itunes'.. are they using song recognization software? i dont get it!

    I think it's probably the poster of the video who allowed a connection to the iTunes store. I remember hearing a while back that YouTube was taking down videos that had music in them, so I don't think YouTube or Apple would be the ones providing the links.

    As the previous poster said I believe it is something the person adding the song to youtube has to do or at least submit the information to youtube so they can add later on.
