New York.
Anyone here from Nassau County or Western Suffolk with an LTE AT&T iPad or smartphone?

Expecting the new iPhone to have it so I'm hoping I can take full advantage. I know NYC is good to go.

As of two months ago I had no LTE service in my parents house on Long Island. Not sure if it has expanded there since then. I live in Manhattan and it's fantastic here.

I'm also wondering the same thing. I recently checked AT&Ts coverage map and from what I saw we have 4G. Not LTE. I checked in the garden city area where I live. But I read an article today that AT&T will have 4G LTE everywhere by the end of this year.

Here's AT&T's coverage map...looks like it's expanded to Queens but not further East yet.

Hmmm well I am in Manhattan a lot. But damn, they should really focus on LI.

Im in Massapequa i had the iPhone 4s "4G" but thats hspa+ so...

I want to know too!

freeport here, (south side) no LTE on the island yet...i feel like there should be cause we have towns on the island that have more ppl in them then citys. If the town were to be incorporated as a city it would be the second largest city in New York behind New York City and ahead of Buffalo, and it would be the 16th largest city in the country, placing itself behind Columbus, Ohio with a population of 787,033, and ahead of Fort Worth, Texas, which has a population of 741,206. The town's population density is also greater than that of Columbus and Fort Worth.

I don't get why it takes so long for Long Island to get things? Not only is it a densely populated area, but Long Island is also a very affluent area, and is most likely able to take advantage of expensive features like 4G LTE, etc.

Heck, many (at least 5) of the top 10-20 most affluent cities in the United States are on Long Island alone. But I guess we will have to wait until the iPhone 5 comes out to see how well their 4G HSPA+ will behave. Hopefully its enough to hold us over until 4G LTE becomes available.

Hopefully, it's already live:D

So far just the most extreme western parts of nassau have LTE judging by the map probably cause those areas connect to towers based in queens which nassau borders. I live in western suffolk and I'm hoping when I activate my phone on friday I get surprised with an LTE symbol at the top of the screen...but I can only hope

i hope it has LTE as well.... i mean the fake 4g we have now is meh, sometimes my gf;s 4 is faster on 3g with att then mine with fake 4g

I can confirm as an owner of a AT&T iPad that there is no LTE on long island, as soon as you cross the border into Elmont, Valley Stream etc you are downgraded to 4G. This is of 1 week ago.
